• I have 17+ years of experience as a therapist, and ventured into private practice in 2022. I am here to be your guide so that you can embody a greater sense of connection, confidence, and ease within yourself and in relationships. Together, we will explore your unique story, helping you to grow your self-awareness and discover effective ways to thrive in your day-to-day life that extends beyond your time in therapy.

I focus my work with individuals who are navigating the impacts of past trauma, experiencing grief and loss, and struggling in their relationships with family and/or significant others.

My sessions with you are collaborative and conversational, creating a space where you feel heard and supported. I am an interactive, solution-focused therapist, ready to guide you and challenge you to grow.

Throughout my career I have worked with youth, adults, and families who come from a wide range of diverse backgrounds and various life challenges. I have worked in residential treatment programs, with youth and their families who were facing the effects of trauma, behavioral issues, and ruptured relationships. I have worked in outpatient mental health clinics specializing in trauma and PTSD, as well as in healthcare settings offering integrated mental health support for patients receiving medical treatment in primary care.

I support the American Alpine Club Climbing Grief Fund that connects individuals to mental health professionals and resources in the climbing, alpinism, and ski mountaineering community. I am also a volunteer guide with Wild Grief based in Olympia, WA, providing peer-based guided programs in nature, free of charge, to grieving youth, families and people of all ages.

I am originally from the Southern Tier of New York. I lived in New York City for 8 years, and briefly lived in beautiful Maine and Utah prior to calling Seattle home. I thrive being in the mountains and enjoy many outdoor sports and activities. I love exploring the world and have traveled to 33 countries, and even lived in Kathmandu, Nepal. I find being a therapist and social worker a privilege to gain perspective outside of my own and feel the power of human connection.

  • I graduated from the University of New York at Albany with a Master of Social Work in 2008 and a BA in Psychology in 2006. I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers.

Washington State Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker # LW 60857731

I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, a treatment that allows your brain to reprocess painful/traumatic memories and desensitize triggers. While known for treating trauma, can also help identify and address underlying negative core beliefs that may be holding individuals back. These beliefs are often formed in childhood and can negatively impact self-esteem, confidence, and overall well-being. This is a great treatment for those who have maybe done therapy in the past, but still feel “stuck.”

I also draw on approaches from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a mindfulness-based psychotherapy that helps individuals accept difficult thoughts and feelings while committing to actions/choices aligned with their values, ultimately teaching psychological flexibility, resiliency, and living a more meaningful life. I believe it is important to treat the whole person, including movement, nutrition, sleep, rest, and play.

I have completed coursework in Couples & Family Therapy at the Ackerman Institute in NYC in 2013 and completed Gottman Level 1 training in 2023. While I currently only work with individuals, I often help my clients improve their relationships; improving communication skills and setting boundaries.

I also completed 200-hour yoga teacher training and 50-hour Ayurveda training in 2013 and 2014, respectively, and trained in trauma-informed yoga. In 2020, I also completed coursework on Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) to enhance my mindfulness and meditation practice.
